Curbside Guidelines

Newspaper
Place them loose in your recycling bin or place them in brown paper bags (please no plastic bags). Glossy inserts are ok.
Magazines, catalogs and telephone books
Rubber band or tie your magazines/catalogs. Place telephone books loose in your bin.
 

Boxboard

Remove inner bags and plastic windows. Flatten the boxes and stuff them into the largest box or pack them into a brown paper bag.

 
Mixed paper


Includes the following: residential office paper, residential mail, envelopes with windows, looseleaf paper, manila folders, paperback books, and similar material. Any of the material listed above may be placed loose in the recycling bin along with old newspapers or placed in a brown paper bag which may be placed in or against the recycling bin.

 
Plastic bottles (#1 & #2)


Rinse bottles and discard caps. No plastic trays, butter tubs, motor oil or antifreeze containers.

 
Glass bottles (clear, brown, green)

Rinse bottles and discard caps. Please no drinking glasses, light bulbs, or windows.

 
Metal cans and aluminum foil

Please rinse.

 
Aerosol cans
Must be empty. Discard caps.
 
Cardboard
Non wax-coated corrugated cardboard. Cut, flatten or fold and tie into bundles not to exceed 2' x 2' x 1'. No pizza boxes please!
